Working on final consonants and final sounds to mark past tense. Scroll down for more.



Here are some ways you can work on this sound at home:

1 Talk to your child about what goes up and down. Emphasize the final sounds of those words, eg "the book goes up on the shelf and the shoes go down on the floor."

2.When you're packing backpacks to go out, talk about what you need to take, e.g. "we need to take a lunch and we need to take extra shoes."

3. Work on the final /t/ in "not" by making up simple comparison games, "that sign is red, that one is not red."
